[citation][nom]aaron88_7[/nom]Well since nobody seems to report them what do you expect? They always get removed pretty quickly after being reported, but if you don't report it then don't complain[/citation]

You have gotta be kidding me right? Have you actually seen the amount of people complaining on here about the spam? Why the hell should I have to report this crap time and time again? Its been going on for well over a year now and NOTHING has been done about it. Also I have every right to complain so button it.

Has anyone noticed how the spammers are giving each other thumbs up, to avoid being voted down into oblivion?
The spam reporting method does not work, because the same spammers keep posting on multiple threads without any problem. Tom's has not implemented any filtering of messages that promote these websites, even though the websites are the same, so it should be no problem to block them. Now we are facing this spam voting issue that will make it more difficult to get the spammer hidden.
I believe we should let Tom live with the spammers and we should move elsewhere for out daily tech news fix. Apparently Tom's doesn't care too much if it's readers are bummed or not.

If you agree with me, feel free to copy and paste the content above and re-post it multiple times, so Tom's pays some attention to our legitimate request. All we need is a filtering in place so we don't have to deal with the same spammers again and again.

To the point here, about Ballmer bringing something with him: I hope he will bring his resignation. This guy has harmed Microsoft so much, I can't believe he's still there.

I clean it up as soon as it is reported when I check first thing in the morning before I get ready for work, and in the evenings.

As a volunteer I do what I can to tidy up this forum area ... often when I can't sleep or when on holidays I put in some extra time.

If you could put some time in by helping some of the users with PC problems on the forums proper I would be very grateful ... as would others.

We work together here ...

The new forum Beta is over at the THGF site if you wish to make some positive comments / constructive criticism ... it should be ready soon.

Unfortunately this area of the forum is hard to block the spammers ... so the mods do it manually.

I'll do another sweep with the broom before I go to bed.

Thanks for your support ...

i see there are a lot of idiots posting on tom's these days.

i hope it's something big for real, and not just a mouse LOL... im thinking windows 8

I hope he shows his pink slip saying he's fired! He really screwed up Microsoft with his poor leadership.

I appreciate what your doing here reynod and I mean no offence to you and the other Mods that help/try to keep this spam at a minimum but you have to admit its getting worse and its frustrating. The thing is, Toms is a huge site and I really cannot see how hard it is to block this spam once and for all. I mean how do other sites do it? I cant think of another major tech site that has this problem and im sure Toms is not the only site being targeted.

It is a shame because I do like toms, just hope it gets sorted soon.

[citation][nom]V8VENOM[/nom]Maybe Ballmer is announcing Apple is buying them? That should help increase the pathetic stock value of Microsoft, that never really changes much these past 10 years.[/citation]

[citation][nom]V8VENOM[/nom]Think again junior ... your facts (or did you just make that number up) are WAY OFF.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage [...] ng_systemsOn the web client front about 80% Microsoft, on the Server Side about 66%, on the Mobile side about 9%. Given the massive expansion and market around mobil computing, I'd say Microsoft is a pretty insignificant player.[/citation]

knock knock... anyone up there?! i dont think so!
