How do i destroy my stolen laptop and phones to make it useless for the theft?

Did you load any security apps to your phone or laptop?
Examples would be iPhones' MobileMe service or Motorola's MotoBlur
Otherwise, if you don't have physical control of your laptop or phone your options are limited.

Report the theft of your cell phone.
