If the laptop is getting stuck or freezing while you're using it, that can be an indication that either the laptop is overheating or the HDD is dying.
- First, is to do a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up and observe if it will still get stuck.
- Next troubleshooting would be to reinstall Windows itself.

- If the same problem will persist that could only mean that the HDD is faulty already.
- Do try a different HDD then install Windows in it and observe if the same problem will persist or not.
- If the same problem will persist with a different HDD that could mean it's the motherboard that is faulty.
