So I have a pretty crappy laptop
- Windows 10 64-bit
- Intel Celeron CPU 1037U @ 1.80GHz
- 4.0GB RAM
- Intel HD Graphics

But even though it's pretty bad there are a few games which I've always played that run just fine such as Osu! and League of Legends. Recently my whole computer has started lagging and stuttering. Games that I never had any problems with before started freezing and lagging. Even my discord stutters when I type. I've tried just about everything I can think of from factory resetting, to deep cleaning and optimizing, I defragemented my drive. I have also run multiple malware scans and no one this has fixed the problem. I'm pretty sure it's just that this laptop is finally ready to kick the bucket but if there's anything else I could try to fix this please let me know because I simply don't have the money to buy a PC.

yes. common issue since the Creator's Edition updates. An SSD could assist in minimizing the stuttering perhaps, and get 8GB mem module instead of the 4 GB. that might fix you up even.

my notebook was horrible at everything until i did that with a CLEAN install, for you though, if you could clone your hdd to an ssd, and get an extra 4gb ram, that might do the trick. other than tell you to roll back to the earlier windows 10, there isn't much you can do.

you can download and install Latency Monitor and check for driver latencies, it will show you which ones are causing latencies.

also read through here, some of the responses are really good

one guy had to just roll back a few drivers after the update

they still have issues, even though current updates are supposed to have fixed the stuttering

yes, that was mentioned by a user in the link I provided above from MS support online. One user had to do that with both his Intel and Nvidia display drivers and it worked. I hope it works for this person

Ok, Thanks for answering so quickly. My one remaining question is how I would roll back my drivers to before the update, I'm a bit confused about that.
