Whoo dangerous worm infecting NON - NETWORKED COMPUTERS in Iran's nuclear systems.

Just in time to help the illusion of Iran's threat so we can start another pointless war!

What a COINCIDENCE.

Another false flag brought to you by the CIA! Be smart people. Remember a little virus isn't worth starting a WAR.

Does nobody remember the WMDs that were so scary? That lie brought 1 million Iraqis to their death. What'd we find?

Iran is no Iraq. Iran is scary. They have navy, airforce, tanks, you name it. This is NOT a war we want to see in our life time. Especially from a country that is VERY LITTLE THREAT.

Ahh it must be something that goes along with this website.. i dont get it people throw all these dark coverup stories into the mix... In a Conventional war there isnt a single country that could come close to dealing america a significant blow.. you have to remember they have to get here to hurt us and trust me there is enough anti this and anti that to prevent any sort of mass invasion or mass bombing or mass ICBM attack.. the only weakness america has is our borders when its one person with one small dirty bomb and by small i mean too small to detect from our sats. in space oh which by the way can keep track of almost every large nuclear warhead... but hey what do i know i only worked around the stuff on a daily basis... and thats what i know so you can imagine what else we have that is even more top secret so please quit being so blind people

This is only going to get worse. Wait till someone makes a program that disables the safties and sets a nuclear reactor to overload but keeps the sensors showing everything in the green. Sure there are things in place to prevent that but every puzzle has a solution.

Perhaps Iran wouldn't have a nuclear program if Siemens wasn't building it for them.

In reality, the worm was programmed by a 15yr old pimply 100lb dork in New Jersey all by himself. 😉

watch iran will reprogram this or make something new and better and send it to the united states. not to flippen bright who ever thought this up as there are enough nuclear plants around the world to brng about enough chernobyls to kill every one.

You dont have any clue as to how this works, do you?

Ok, people seem to be missing the point, therefore I will make it clear: THEY ARE LETTING THIS HAPPEN TO A SYSTEM THAT CONTROLS SOME PORTION OF A NUCLEAR FACILITY!
First, I do not work for nor have I ever worked for something which could have the kind of impact a nuclear facility malfunction could have. The worst thing that could happen if some technological mishap occured at the places I've been is severe economic down turn. Financial institutions have tighter controls than this, and I'd say loosing money is not comparable to the worst possible outcome of a nuclear situation. Now I dont know what these systems do for the nuclear plant and what not, but suffice it to say, you dont bring in random thumb drives to many financial institutions, and a lot i've worked at dont even have internet access PERIOD.
That said, their security sucks.
Secondly, as to the 3 million dollar investment / government backed idea: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
People GREATLY underestimate that ability of free lance programmers. I've used alot of commercially developed software ringing in at close to that figure for R&D, and a few of them you can find better coded apps that do the same thing on sourceforge.
IMHO: Linux is the PRIME example. How much money has been spent developing windows? Look at linux.. how much there??
As to the comments of Cyber-Warefare:
Greatly over-stated. Media hype at best. This is simply a case of stupidity.

I'm far more concerned about this than anything else.

Pretty much. No amount of super-snazzy security technology will help if the people fail to maintain security protocols for personnel. No one will care about the purpose of the nuclear program if Iran can't even keep saboteurs out of their plants.

why do I trust the iranians more than I trust a computer program to NOT accidentally launch all their secret nukes around the world, or cause meltdown at all their nuclear facilities...

For those giving me negative feed on my last comment.

Do yourself a favor and look on some main stream non -pc enthusiast news and look at how they reported this.

Calling it scary and how we need to act on Iran faster. Some aren't even mentioning the use of USBs.

I just think the fact this was so widely reported is propaganda bs. I could see it reported here, but main-stream?

2012 end of the world possibility?? Cyberworm destroys powergrids across the globe, communication, travel, food sources all destroyed!!

call me crazy, but too many people have been saying it for too long for something big NOT to happen in 2012. God Bless

Having worked recruiting PSO's for the powers stations, and worked on the new training program for the industry, (Utilities Power Generation) and worked with the Training Managers responsible for familiarising operators on the DCS fundanmentals I can tell you that:

The systems are tightly controlled
The network control system is proprietory
Operations Control rooms are Secure
Scenarios like boiler Trips / overrides are all well thought out
Emergency response systems are in place
FESA / Military have identified these in their core response to terrorist threat

No internet virus will be able to access these systems.

Our GW here are safe .... use your toaster sparingly in the morning please though ... as spinning up the turbines from rest to loadmatch demand is quite a technical feat for the operators ... a very professional bunch !!

serves 'em right almost any security program detects and removes the problem, but the problem is that outside resources are never used due to paranoid people in control so security is in house and there is the vulnerability.
