sub connection wiring

I have a sony ipod docking self system there is only left and right direct wire connections how do I wire I single pole sub to this system???

Your description is not very clear, could you please include a model numbers of the hardware you are trying to wire together. Form your description it sounds like you are trying to wire a ipod speaker dock like the small ones that you can take anywhere and wire a subwoofer to it.

it is a sony shelf stereo the face opens to dock an ipod it has two speakers left an right with direct wire connections push the tabs and push the wire in the subi have Is from a boston acoustics it has only the positive negative onnections to wire this to the sony home stereo if possible what would I need to do so I don't trip the circuit protector built into this stereo
