Suggest me for a better performance laptop under $1000

Hello,
i am a student till now i am using my 4 years old Dell inspiron 1525 but now i want to change my laptop as it can not handle my work.So i would like to know which laptop is better for me .My key requirement is processing means in terms of speed and i never play gaming in my laptop and i need a 500gb-!Tb HDD with a small SDD .and i need a good RAM to handle my work finally it needs to be good in look please give a advice to me to get my brand new laptop..

What do you mean by work? You are being vague. It could mean heavy video editing, or just casual Office work. I hope I don't sound rude, but if you tell us what work you do, we can help.

You have plenty of choices for something speedy laptop under $1,000. One option would be the Acer aspire V3. It's one of Acer's stylish systems and should meet most of your requirements.
