Surround setup pc help ?

I have a new speak setup that came with my tv dvd system. It's pretty good for the price but I'm not using it for my living room. I was wondering if it would be possible to use those speakers on my pc? What would I need to get them to work on my system?
I have a Maxium iv formula. All help is appreciated.

Connect it via optical and you will get full surround.

I see what you mean, but I don't have the box to connect them with, The cd player is being used for the living room, so right now All I have is the speakers.

Oh, you will need an amplifier receiver. They are the most expensive part =(. They have once powerful enough to run sub woofers and others that are not. It all depends on your setup.

You would need to use the entire system. Cheapest way is to buy a new disc player for the living room and use all the equipment on the PC.
