switch on problems

Im running a windows vista home premium, I switch it on and everything lights up for a milli second then switches off, Ive tried a hard reset but no joy, any ideas

thanks for the info clutch, Ive managed to get the laptop running again using a hard reset but I think you are correct the PSU must be failing,

I should have added... or the battery. Remove the battery and try it that way. If it acts the same way, I'd suspect the PSU before the battery.

thanks for the help clutchc you were right it was the battery, as soon as I removed the battery everything worked fine, Problem solved thanks again
