I have an Android tablet. I have only used it 2x. I did run it all the way out of battery last time I used it (was watching a video). I tried charging it but now will not turn on. It is no longer under warranty. If I plug it in, it blinks on & off. As soon as I unplug the charger, it goes to black screen. I cannot plug it into my laptop because the only charger it came with plugs into an outlet. I tried holding down volume up & start (was not plugged in when I did that). Any ideas would be appreciated. UPDATE: I found the charger that plugs into a computer (it was still in the box). After charging on the computer for awhile, I was able to fully charge it in the electric outlet. So glad I saw the solution here; I was about to buy a new tablet! Lesson learned - I won't run the battery all the way down again.

Solution
NOTE: Yes, I know tablet batteries are not so easy to get to, on some devices.

Try the following and see if it will turn on.

1. Remove the battery.
2. Press and hold the "Power" button for 20 seconds.
3. Now put the battery back in.
4. Plug it in to charge and allow it to fully charge before turning it on.

If this doesn't help, then test the charger cord to see if it is good. Either try your cord in another device, or try another devices cord on your device.

Should that not be the problem, then check the battery to see if it needs replacing.
