Texting to O2 phone in UK

Hi, does anyone know if this is possible? If so, could you please let me
know if I have to dial the country code etc. as it doesn't seem to be
working for me.

According to
http/www.objectsatrest.com/~sdfisher/fido/sms.html
it works.

For all phone numbers on a GSM phone, I always enter
it in the international format.
eg. +1 604 1234567 (without spaces)
