The sound is ok bit I can't see the imagen in the tv

I connected the wire sound from the dvd to the tv & the coaxial cable from the dvd to the tv, but I can't see the pix. the video cable is in the yellow spot. What is the problem?

If your TV has a shared composite video (yellow RCA) and composite video (3 RGB RCA) then you will need to select composite in the TV menu.
If the DVD has HDMI it may be set to output on HDMI only.
