the only use for this that I could see would be at the vineyard during a wine tasting expo. Even then its just a "cool factor" thing for all the visitors to fawn over the tv coming up out of the table.

Am I the only person who would see a problem with using my HDTV stand, where let's not forget my TV is housed inside as a drink dispensing table. Oh, sorry Johnny i'm really drunk and knocked over that new glass of wine you gave me. I guess I'll head to Best Buy tomorrow and get you a new TV.

The other day I saw one of these items for $1800 and was laughing my head off then.

For 2.5x the price of the 'cheap one' I saw, it better at least come with a receiver that gives me all of the porn channels for free for life.

For $4500 I could redo the entire living room and put in a bar as well.

Arrghh thats disgusting, thats something my carpenter friend would build and put in his room and i would have to say it looks nice, his current enclosure for his 40" pioneer uses the exact same wood type and it just looks revolting.

Surely a beautiful television with accurate colours is more than enough eye candy and you would want a minimalist stand or even a mount bracket.

Fortunately there will be more than enough customers lining up to get this purely for the novelty factor.

[citation][nom]stm1185[/nom]Im spending $4500 on a table, yet im living with a 52inch TV. That does not sound right at all!Wall Mounting and 70inch TV sounds less stupid.[/citation]
Agreed, I'd rather buy a 70", a wall mount and go to Mexico for a couple of weeks.

Everyone knows that widescreens are born to be wall mounted. Why would anyone want something that looks like an outdoor BBQ in their living space?

TV Stands, tables, and chests with a motorized lift for TV's have been around for quite some time. I've seen them in furniture stores. In terms of style and looks this one does not look very good.
