The USB ports on my laptop have stopped working, please help me

Hello, My usb ports are not working on my laptop. No any Pendrives were dectected on my laptop & I don't know why its not work

Check with device manager to see if its seeing anything in there at all. I think you can run > devmgmt.msc (i think thats the command, dont really remember). But its in control panel I believe under system. Atleast for windows 7 are you running windows 10?

Also try something else in those USB ports. Maybe a plug and play USB mouse. If the mouse works the ports are ok.

Specifics on what device you're trying to use

When it comes to the drivers portion, it will be the chipset. After checking the stuff from the above posts, might want to update your chipset driver.

I noticed on my laptop that when it was plugged in, all the USB ports worked. When it was unplugged (running on battery), only the two rear ports worked.

Mod, did you not read OP's post? All USB ports are not working.

I knew that one day a tomshardware mod will half-heartedly reply to a post, then I would correct them.

I was merely mentioning that this could be a power save issue. Something to possibly look into.
