I purchased this device a few years ago and it has worked as expected. There is a MAJOR caveat. I thought that once I paid for my vehicle manufacturer once, then I'd have it for life. If I chose not to update year after year, then I wouldn't get any updates but I would still be able to USE THE TOOL. Nope, they time bomb it in order to do anything besides read codes - for example, putting in a new TPMS id would cost me $39 for my manufacturer and $49 just for the TPMS module to change the TPMS ids.
I consider this sneaky to the extreme and I will be throwing this thing away.
