Thinkpad Generic Battery

Hello, I own a Thinkpad T440P and my battery is dying. Lenovo ones are very expensive and i wanted to know if generic ones would work. Thanks in advance

While they would work, cheaper batteries have shorter battery life and have a high chance of failure. Last few I got did not fit very well, lasted OK a few days then dropped to like 20 minutes of run time in a week. Up to you if you want to take a shot at saving money vs a high chance of getting something that does not work.

Sometimes the generic batteries do not work, or do not work well.
There is some electronics involved.
If you buy a generic battery, buy from a place with a good return policy.
