Solved! Thinkpad T-42 password removal

mi son do not remember the code to mi thinkpad T-42 so how do i remove the password so i can get in the laptop without kicking out money can anyone help ASAP!!!!!

Is it the Windows Password? Or the laptop BIOS password? What do you seen on the screen when it asks for your password?
