Question Thinkpad X1 Yoga batter is not charging

My Thinkpad X1 Yoga battery is not charging. it shows X sign at Battery Meter. I removed the battery and reinstalled it but the cse is still the same. I also disabled the battery driver and then reinstalled it with no effect. Does this mean the batter y need to be replaced.

My X1 yoga gen 2 stopped recharging and I realised only when less than 10% was remiaing. Tried frantically to reset and tried resetting, by putting pin in back
and then even removing the back, disconnecting main battery and then cell battery>>> put the back on and connecting cable again, orange light comes up for few secs and then turns off. tried 2 to 3 times but same issue.
What does this mean? One time red light on 'i' of thinkpad kept showing on for quite sometime before turning off
Can you not turn on the pc at all without the battery-need to get some files off before I take it to anyone?
which battery needs replacing main or button?
