[citation][nom]mariushm[/nom]Funny how in Microsoft's world there are no fat people, only slim ones[/citation]Well, if fat people would play with the Kinect, they WOULD possibly slim down pending how avid they are about it... You know, moving around more than necessary is a start... :)

Well, I decided as bad as it seems it's going to turn out - I would bite the bullet and preordered it for myself so I can make an informed judgement of it.

... that's what I'm trying to convince myself anyhow, I probably just flushed several hundred dollars down the toilet.

Microsoft continues in their plans to dominate the "complete retard" segment of the market: first it was Bing, preferred search of illiterate retards everywhere (IT HAZ MOAR PICHERS!), now this.

i love using my mouse, keyboard, controller..but sometimes i need something PHYSICAL to do. Yeah, i dont bag down on technology like this just because its something that requires physical activity. i think this will be a great add-on to the 360.

No fat people? Why would Microsoft justify their drain on society by including them in an advertisement?

Looks fun. I look forward to the second generation of this device shipping in the box of the 3rd generation Xbox. That's when I'll be a buyer.

It would have been better if they would also allow Kinect to be Windows compatible. Seriously, Its like Halo 3 or Halo: Reach only being an add-on for XBOX360

Look at the bright side, you will look goofy playing any game, but at least with this one you won't be holding a dildo in your hand!!!

ugh... looks like it will be tough to have a kinect owning family living at our upstairs...

I am wondering how many people will get sued, knocked in the door, hate mails in the mailbox, or worse.... a punch at the face because of playing their kinect....

Oddly enough, this is actually true. I remember reading a story a long time ago about some girl that lost like 50 pounds playing DDR just because it was a lot more physical activity than she usually did.

Wow They have some big living rooms! They're living rooms are bigger than my apartment. Looks like this will not work in my place. Looks like i'll have to go with the Ps3 move.

[citation][nom]Ragnar-Kon[/nom]Normally I try to find something negative about a new technology just for the sole purpose of bashing it... But that is actually really really cool. If it works well it'll beat the pants off the Wii and the PS3 Move.Although, like the other comments, the games that can be used on the Kinect don't intrest me, so I'll just stick to my PC with its mouse and keyboard.[/citation]

Great commercial, but ... failed product as things stand now. When the release date comes, and if they bring a new firmware revision then you could say i'm wrong. But till then, have a look at the real kinect in action:

Main point, if you like to lie to yourself that the moves you do are accurately represented in the game, then this is the motion controller for you. (for a price that is)

[citation][nom]d-block[/nom]A kinect based porn game would be super.[/citation]
Giggidy!!

I think a lot of gamers need to gain a little perspective with Kinect rather than just dismiss it outright as a waste of time.

This thing isn't intended to replace physical controllers and/or appeal to hardcore gamers, and more to the point, it never will. Kinect is a direct response to the Wii - aimed at the casual end of the market. Simple as that.

As gamers, we complain whenever the games industry is unfairly tarred with the old "lazy/unhealthy lifestyle" brush, and now we complain when the industry stands up (literally) for itself and encourages people to become physically involved with gaming.

There's just no pleasing some people!

[citation][nom]brianmoz[/nom]i hate to say it but STUPID AMERICANS GO OUTSIDE AND DO PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IN THE SUNSHINE NOT THE SCREENSHINE.[/citation]
And yet you're sitting inside on the computer commenting on a news post?

Who said you can't do both?

"Stupid Americans"??
