So I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Today I opened it up and cleaned every...single...piece. Not a spec of dust inside, and I also re-coated the glossy clear coat on the outside of the laptop. I installed a new HDD into the laptop today as well (reason I opened it, but I got carried away when I saw how dusty the fan was)

Anyway, what would a fair price be for this laptop? It has been used of course, but It now looks and feels like new. I installed windows 10 on it as well. ( I have windows 7 disks that can go with it of course)

The specs are as follows:
4GB DDR2 RAM 800Mhz
350GB HDD 5200 RPM
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz
ATI Graphics 512 MB
CD/DVD Drive (Works!)
Harman/Kardon speakers (both work well)
Wireless card (works)
Touchpad, keyboard etc work.

Everything works and with the new HDD and windows 10 it runs like the day I bought it (back in '08) It plays games like League of Legends at 60Fps with high settings, and Skyrim at high settings at 40 FPS.

Thinking of selling it on craigslist or Ebay (maybe amazon?) I have a beefy desktop now and I havent used this laptop for quite some time. (using it to type this as I love the feel of the keyboard and the novelty of using something that I havent for some time. You know what I mean guys!)

Anyway, thanks for any and all feedback!

You can coat it in gold but it's still a 7 year old laptop. New ones with energy efficient baytrail dual core CPU's, better graphics, bigger hard drives, faster ram, better batteries, better integrated wireless, bluetooth, USB 3.0, etc... can be had for $250.00. Ultimately it's only worth what someone is willing to offer you, but I wouldn't expect much at all. A local craigslisting may be the easiest way to dump it.

Im not looking for much, it just sits and takes up space. still have the box and everything for it, with driver disk etc. I've seen refurb ones sell on ebay and amazon for $400. Technically this is a refurb. I'll either sell it or find a cool project to do with it, like use the screen or take the HDD and add it to my desktop etc. any ideas are welcome. But thanks Archaic59

Refurbs usually have some type of limited warranty from the seller. However, $400 is far too much. Perhaps something more like $200 is reasonable for someone to buy a used laptop.

Also, uninstall Windows 10 and re-install Windows 7 on the laptop. Windows 10 is in it's technical review state so it is not 100% stable. Also when Windows 10 do finally go live whoever is using the laptop will likely get nagging messages to upgrade to the retail version of Windows 10. It will simply cause confusion for people; especially those that have no idea that Windows 10 is not ready for retail yet.
