Hello

I am a Graphic Design student, and I'm thinking of getting a new laptop to replace my IBM Lenovo Z61p...

I do a lot of multitasking, using programs like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver...as well as playing movies/music at the same time and browsing. (Also some gaming)

Unfortunately my IBM can no longer handle everything.

I was thinking of getting:

HP Pavilion HDX9000
Core 2 Duo T7500
4GB Ram
ATI Mobility Radeon 2600 XT

HP HDX X16
Core 2 Duo P8400
4GB ram
Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT

What would you recommend?

you will want the second one because the graphics card is way better than the first one. also the P8400 processor is more energy efficient than the T7500 and has a faster fsb. if your budget can go higher you might want to consider getting a laptop with a higher clocked core 2 duo (like the P8700) or one with a core 2 quad (very expensive).
