toshiba hard drive to replace hard drive in my HP laptop

i have and old broken toshiba windows 7 satellite. with 3gb ram , i belive the hard drive is fine, i am looking to replace my hard drive on my HP notebook g62 windows 7 ,,this HP has problems.. can i use the hard drive from the toshiba to replace the hard drive in the H P laptop..?

hard drive yes. but you need to reinstall the os.
