toshiba laptop battery while plugged in is saying 100% charged.. when i unplug the ac adaptor the pc shuts down ... pc health

battery says charged ,, take ac adaptor out it shuts down.. health monitor toshiba, says battery is fine ..

The cells inside your battery can report a 100% charge if your battery if all of the available cells have ceased charging i.e.my laptop battery has 6 cells if one of those cells fails it will report that the five remain cells left are 100% charged then if I was to remove my power lead my laptop would not have sufficiant power to run.

So I would say your battery is defective.
