Toshiba Laptop in a loop

I have a Toshiba laptop, have had it for a few years now. Windows 10 has been on my computer for a couple years now and I’ve hated every second. Lately I’ve been avoiding the annoying windows update because something always goes wrong when it tries to update. I slipped up yesterday and it began to update but I was lucky enough to put my computer to “sleep.” But today I go to use it and this happens: It turns on and then goes to the “Toshiba Leading Innovation” screen and then the little loading circle appears. And then it goes to a black screen and at the bottom it says “attempting to recover windows” and then “restoring your previous version of Windows” and then my screen turns black and then it goes back to the “Toshiba Leading Innovation” screen again and repeats itself over and over and I can’t even press any buttons or see the arrow on the screen. I’ve even tried just turning it off and on and still the same thing. I’ve tried looking up solutions and all I see is restoring it to factory settings, but I don’t want to lose my files. Is there anything else that can be done?! Thank you in advance for any help

Apologies if it wasn't clear. The WiFi being turned off isn't done on the computer but through the modem/router. If you can't access that, then the only option is to go where you can't access WiFi at all, which stops the computer from gaining internet access.

The first option (list of steps above) as long as you choose the "Refresh" option you should not lose files on the computer. If you, however, choose the "Reset" option, then you will lose the personal files on the computer. The second option listed does actually lead to clearing out the computer, which would remove all your personal stuff. So this is something I would save for last.

NOTE: The contacting the manufacturer step would also cause the loss of files, if they change out...
Note: If this problem started after an update (or system reinstall), please make sure the laptop is not connected to the internet in any way before you use the following instructions.

Try the following...

1. Power off the laptop.
2. Power on the laptop.
3. As soon as you see the rotating loading circle, press and hold the Power Button until the computer shuts off.
4. Repeat this process a few times until you see the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen.
5. Now you want to let the laptop boot to the "Automatic Repair" screen.
6. Click "Advanced Options" and then select "Troubleshoot".
7. Here you want to select "Refresh your PC", if you do not wish to erase data, or "Reset your PC" to erase all data and restore your system.
8. From here just follow the screen instructions until the recovery is completed.

NOTE: You will need to get into the "Advanced Options" in order to get the "Refresh Option". This choice will keep your data, but any programs installed will be lost.

Do not do a "Reset" as that will wipe all data you have on the laptop.

Another version of this is the following...

1. Power off the laptop.
2. Power on the laptop.
3. When screen turns black, hit F10 and ALT repeatedly until the computer shuts off.
4. To fix the computer you should choose the second option listed.
5. When the next screen loads, choose the option "Reset Device".
6. Now choose which ever type of reset you wish.
7. Your computer should now restore itself to "Factory Settings".

NOTE: If you get a message saying "Error Resetting Device", then you should have the computer looked at by the manufacturer (if still under warranty) or by a tech.

I also forgot to mention that right after the “Toshiba Leading Innovation” Page, this little page flashes on the screen very quickly and then it goes to the “attempting to...” screen. And there is also no way for me to turn off the WiFi on my computer to do the troubleshooting mentioned because I can’t even log in.
