Toshiba Laptop L875-116

I shut down my computer and when I tried to restart it with the power cord in, all I got was a flashing green/blue led with 5 flashes, no sound.

Problem self Solved. BATTERY WAS FLAT. Power failed whilst the lid was closed and still turned on and when the lid was opened, panic! power wasn't charging the battery because I hadn't noticed the battery indicator was showing low, silly me.
