Solved! toshiba laptop not charging after new battery put in?

Hello Guys I need your help.
I have a toshiba satellite s75b 3 years old only and I changed the external battery and the laptop won't recognize it and won't charge it. It says plugged in not charging. I tried a million times the shut down take out battery and ac put back ac start over uninstall battery driver and ac driver shut down put battery back etc.... won't work even after holding down the power button for 30 seconds. I am afraid to update the bios because so many pple say it screwed up the whole computer. Right now it works fine on ac power. can anyone help? Please

If it shows that it is in, recognizes the battery, and you got a better battery, then the only other thing I can think of is that it may be the charging circuit. Which may well mean replacing the motherboard.

Did you get an OEM battery or an aftermarket one? If you got the latter, then that may well be your problem. They are hit or miss.

Hi thx for the reply. yes I got a toshiba battery that I paid 4 times more for than aftermarket one but didn't want to take the chance like you said they're hit or miss. I also changed the ac charger just in case it was that but nothing still not charging. by the way now it does the same with the old battery "not charging".
