Toshiba Laptop Portege R700-17Z

This Laptop has recently had a faulty battery. So a new battery has been bought and been swapped with the old one. Now that the new battery is fully i decided to use it and now the power cuts off at random moments in time

Any Ideas??

Hi Tom and welcome to the community.

From what I understand when, you're trying to use the laptop with the new battery (without the laptop being plugged in the power socket) and it randomly shuts down because of battery power loss? If this is the case, then your laptop might have a faulty connection and your old battery might not have been the problem. I'd recommend that you send it to computer service shop, so that the guys there can test it and diagnose the issue.

Oh, one more thing. If you do decide to send it for diagnostics/repairs and the drive is still under warranty - send it to the reseller you've bought it from or the manufacturer (whoever covers the warranty). Also, make a backup of your personal data before you do that (this is always a sensible thing to do).
