Solved! Toshiba Laptop Screen willnot work

How do I test for a dead screen ; have tryed the external vga plug with a seperate monitor and power and external led lights plus the fan are running on unit but cannot generate any picture on any screen.
I think it good be the motherboard but I would like some opinions please?

i do laptop repair in Birmingham and have come across this problem . It's usually the graphics chip that has overheated. A motherboard replacement is usually required.

You could try testing the screen out on another laptop thoguh you need to know what your doing!

You can attempt a reflow on the motherboard/GPU to repair it. It's not too difficult a procedure if you're halfway decent in hardware repair.
