Toshiba P755 will not run without recovery disk

I replaced the hard drive in Toshiba P755, it worked find but not it will not run Windows 7 without the Toshiba recovery disk.

Very fine statement. yes you cannot windows 7 without installing it first we all know this

I reinstalled the Toshiba system disk on to the new hard drive, at first the laptop worked fine. After updating the Windows updates, drivers and programs the laptop now stays on the Windows logo screen without the recovery disk. The only time the laptop will start normally is when I have the recovery disk on the cd rom. Before I reinstall the operating again I want to make sure there is not another way to correct this.
