Question toshiba protege internet issue

I just got a toshiba protege laptop it has windows 7 I can get it to connect to my wifi but when i try and look up websites it dont work it says something about diagnosing connection problems I do that and still doesn't work but shows im connected to my wifi. what can i do

First thing is to update to Windows 10. Windows 7.1 has not been supported for years. Use another computer to download a Window 10 upgrade from Microsoft. Don't try to install Windows from any other source unless you want a bunch of viruses. How old is this machine?

My nephew likes windows 7 and its only a internet issue
