Hi folks,

I have a Toshiba S50D-A-10G which has totally packed in and will not start up at all. I have had similar problems with other laptops in the past and have normally been able to solve them by removing the battery and working from the mains charger.

However, this model has a battery which is inside the casing and is connected up to different things (this is where my tech knowledge ends). I have, however, removed the casing and now I'm scared to do anything further. Could anyone please advise on whether removing the battery is likely to fix the problem, and if so how to go about removing it without causing damage to the machine.

I will try to attach a picture of what I'm seeing.

Thank you,

Chris
