Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660-28R PartNo PSC1LE-03700JGE with motherboard PWWHA LA-7202P Rev.1.0 2011-02-18 by Vendor:TRIPOD.

My problem is that my laptop when you press power button, the lights in front works(AC power/Battery and ON) for 3seconds, fan spins and then fan with light ON stops. It close.

I tried remove battery, hold esc, hold power ON button for 1-2minutes, no battery install, and finally start removing hardware, VGA external, remove ram, ...

I disassembly all laptop, clean fan, test fan, check capacitors and motherboard, replace thermal paste.

The fun part is, that if the laptop is not plug for a long time(1-2weeks), it boots up normally...
But then, it starts not to boot again.

Need help. I have disassembly my laptop more than 5times with no luck.

Any ideas, please...

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

You've pretty much done all the possible troubleshooting steps that should have solve the issue but here are some more steps that you missed.
- First do try booting up the laptop without it's battery.
- Next is to test the AC adapter if it's supplying enough voltage or bet yet try another AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it would boot up.
- If all these will not work that means it's the motherboard that is faulty.
