Toshiba Satellite L555 cannot connect to wireless or turn on wireless

Had work done on my computers and now not able to get them to connect to wireless or to turn on wireless

this usually happens when the wireless card is disabled in software, you can enable it by opening the wifi menu in the task bar, which i assume will have a red x and clicking on trouble shoot

When you look in device manager is the adapter present??
