Solved! Toshiba satellite L855D-S5114 wont turn on

My laptop will not turn on for some reason. No lights at all when battery is connected but when i plug in the AC adapter (with the correct voltage) i get a single white led light indicating that it is plugged in. When i press the power button the light turns off for 3-4 seconds then returns and thats it. It doesnt turn on. I did get it to turn on earlier today but it cut off about 30 seconds afterwards. Any help is welcomed. And yes i have tried the hold the power button down method and that didnt help at all.

When you did the power button thing, did you make sure both the cord and the battery were removed first?

Yes i did it correctly multiple times. I also left it charging all night and that didnt work. Also left it unplugged with no battery all day to drain the capacitors still didnt work.

Then that leaves testing if the battery will even hold a charge and if the charger is working correctly. Either of these needing work/replacing could be the problem.
