Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite 5105-S702 laptop with an NVIDIA Geforce4 440
Go display adapter. The native resolution of the laptop's LCD is
1600x1200. I have been able to hook up external monitors and achieve
higher resolutions with them - e.g. 1920x1200 on a Dell/SONY P1110 CRT.

I recently got a SONY SDM-P234 LCD with a native 1920x1200 resolution,
but when I try to hook it up to the Satellite, after the correct
detection of the monitor by PnP, the display options (Control Panel >
Display > Settings) only allows a maximum of 1600x1200 for that
display.

Can anyone advise whether it's possible to get the 1920x1200 resolution
using this display adapter?

My OS is Windows XP Professional.
Thank you!

Check the review at this site:

They needed a driver not on the install CD.

Additionally, check www.anandtech.com and www.tomshardware.com for
reviews of large LCD monitors if you are thinking of returning this one.
