Hello smendez;

Serial number is no help. The only way you can see a serial number is if you're actually holding it in your hands.
There is no way to track the tab without specialized software installed prior to it's theft.

File a report with the police. The might turn it up as stolen property.
Notify the MFGR (Acer) that's its been stolen. It might be taken in for repair or service.

unless you had tracking software (such as prey) already installed on it you're SOL.

the most you can do is file a police report, then keep an eye on ebay and craigslist, but don't get your hopes up.
