Trouble shoot tv

Tv is on channel 1.1. When I try to put it in hdm1, the gray screen /box won’t stay on long enough for me to switch it over

Need more details, how are you switching the input? Are you going through a direct selection on the remote or through a menu to swap inputs? Does it work using the TV buttons to select it? All other functions work normally?
