turn off tom's guide pop-ups

Solution
Did they mean notifications in the lower right side of the screen? I just had the same problem and sorted it as detailed below. (Not sure why Tomshardware/guide "offers" - it is hard to imagine many people wanting something to block the content they're seeking, but that's another topic!)

Go to Chrome settings:

Settings > Privacy > Content Settings > Notifications > Manage Exceptions

Change "https://tomsguide.os.tc"/"https://tomshardware.os.tc" from "Allow" to "Block".

This process mentioned here does not work. I have blocked tomsguide.com in my settings and notifications and I still get popups. I never even looked at anything on this site!
Very annoyed.
