Tv gray screen

Ok my tv has a gray screen when it turns on however i does have sound but no picture at all like nothing comes up not volume controls or anything so i want to know what the problem is

Is this connected to a cable box? If it is, check if the correct source is selected. Try also to unplug and plug the cords at the back of the TV.
