@SininStyle: Regarding plasma being a huge mirror? Well, yes but the top LCD's have the clear screen too. Only the cheaper ones use the 'matte' coating. I remember when Panasonic brought out a 50" plasma with the 'matte' coating like an LCD but also had the clear glass on the other 50" model. Customers would wonder why the 'matte' one would not look as clear as the glass one, and we would have to explain the reason why to them. It helped sell moar plasma tv's but not with the 'matte' LCD finish hehe.
I like LCD but not in my main living room where I want a nice fancy image from any angle.

SteelCity, if so many people tell you that plasma have better picture quality than LCD (lamp or led), you should start paying attention.

Have you ever had a plasma? I have 2 LCD's and 1 plasma. My father has a Sony super-uber-expensive LCD, my 2 brothers have top range LCDs.

I know what I am saying, so start listening: the cheapest HD plasma you can get today provides you with a much, MUCH better image quality than ANY lcd.

Theoretically, plasma pic quality should be better than LCD's. In practice, guess what? IT IS!

Talking about Plasma, I had a Samsung 55" 120hz LED TV and despite the fact that the screen went all white in 8 days, I didn't like how the picture looked. I picked up a 58" Panasonic plasma for $800 less and have had it for a year and still prefer it to all the LCD/LEDs.

I purchased a 55" Samsung 120hz LED TV. Besides the fact that the screen went all white in 8 days, I didn't like the picture/120hz. I took it back and got a Panasonic 58" Plasma TV, which was $800 cheaper. One year later, I still love the TV and it works great. It's all up to preference. I don't like the "Soap opera" affect the LED's have. And when you turn it back to 60hz, you are wasting your money on a nice TV.

We need more sizes than now? Frankly if I wanted a TV I would've bought one long ago. The fact that I still don't own a TV is tied to the fact that it just isn't able to compete for my time.

When all is said and done PLASMA sets have the best picture quality at the best prices.

As long as you don't let static images on the set too too long there is NO real drawback with them.
