TV speakers not appearing in playback devices

hello,

i have a dell laptop win 10 64 bit. Whenever i connect the laptop to the tv with an hdmi cable. The visual works beautifully. I am getting sound out of laptop but not TV. i tried to reinstall the sound driver, it worked only for a single time and then it became back as it was. SOMETIMES when i restart my laptop it found the tv speakers in the playback devices. but when i unplug n reconnect the hdmi cable, now it does not find the speaker.

please help

You might try a different HDMI cable to see if that is the problem.

Also, in "Control Panel" and then "Sounds", on the "Playback" tab you should right-click on the white empty space in the window and make sure both "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices" are checked.
