Solved! TV won't turn off with remote or power button

Toshiba TV, model number 40L3400U. Just about a week ago my TV started acting funny. When I went to turn it off with the remote after being on for quite awhile, no response. Tried the power button, nothing. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked fine again temporarily. Sadly I noticed over time it will start acting up whenever it's on for too long and I have to resort to pulling the plug each time. Has done it about 3 or 4 times now. Any suggestions? Doubt it's related, but it just starting doing this when I connected it to my wifi for the first time and streamed from my phone for a little bit.

I don't think it has anything to do with your wifi either. More likely would be a power supply problem.
My experience with Toshiba TVs has been good in terms of reliability but everything breaks eventually.
Check out www.shopjimmy.com if you want to take a shot at repair. They sell replacement boards and are very helpful.
