Let me get this straight... the Iranian Army, or even a group of Iranian hackers, decided that they would strike Americans at their heart... where they're most vulnerable... their lifeline... TWITTER!

I really hope it WAS the Iranian government. That way I can sleep well at night knowing they hate us, but are too stupid to cause any real harm.

Generally speaking, which ever group actually did manage to perform the hack will try to point blame elsewhere to try to confuse the investigators as to who actually committed the crime.

As for complaining about other countries terror tactics and methods of warfare.....as an American, I want to point out that we as Americans did a very nice job of using terror against the British (remember the Boston Tea Party?) and using snipers up in trees (yes Virginia, we did it first, not the Koreans). Had Benedict Arnold not changed sides during the American Revolution, he was the inspiration for the Revolutionary Army to use the sniper tactic. Also, wasn't it American Revolutionist that dressed up as Native Americans to try to point the blame elsewhere?

seriously...i agree with those few who have doubted whether it was Iranians in the first place.

however, the comments about being more advanced 2000 years ago do need some setting right:

that area of the world may have been advanced THEN...but subsequently, the "ruler/king/better than you" status prevented further advancement. That is why the western world overtook the middle east (and asia, temporarily). But beating women and making them hide their faces, etc...that's cave man behaviour.

Excellent point, but you need to distinguish between a nation/its people and the religion forced on them. You know what the penalty for converting to another religion is in an islamic country?
