tenor77 beat me to it - but that's exactly what I meant! Strange, people seemed more "connected" before these pretentious sites started popping up and shallow people started to display their important lives and achievements. Keeping in touch, if you don't want to spend the money on long-distance calls, can be free via the many messenger options out there. Or for local friends, how about hanging out and having a real talk. SHEESH!
 
What I really meant was that people shouldn't generalise so much, I don't quite understand how people think that if people use social networking sites they are somehow automatically less social in real life? Oh and I'm generally referring to Facebook, as twitter doesn't really have any features I would consider to help my social life, I don't use it, and I had to take a lot of time convincing the company I work for not to bother investing in it!..
