I have a laptop that was issued by my job with a large tech company. I don't want to connect this work laptop to the same home network/wi-fi that my primary desktop is on (my home network service is through my cable company).
I have purchased a mobile hotspot modem from my cell phone service provider (my current plan has unlimited hotspot data) and I only connect the work laptop to the internet via this modem.
My question is this:
I have purchased a mobile hotspot modem from my cell phone service provider (my current plan has unlimited hotspot data) and I only connect the work laptop to the internet via this modem.
My question is this:
- Since my phone and work laptop will be using the same cellular service network, could the laptop ever be used to access data on my phone?
- NOTE: My phone will never connect to the mobile hotspot modem. It will always connect directly to the cell service provider. And the laptop will only access the internet via the hotspot modem (which receives its data from that same cell service carrier).
