Let's face it, NOBODY but a lawyer reads these notices and disclaimers.
For all I know some company owns my first born child according to some obscure legalese on page 69 of the terms I agreed to.

Well, the joke is on them... I do not have kids ;-)

Can you imagine if every State, small Country, Territory or you name it has its own laws.

I do however agree that folks have no idea what these apps are pulling off your phones, especially on Android. Next app read all the 'stuff' your App has access to... ;)

o'rly? And when was the last time an iOS app told you what it has access to?
I read what every app has access to and Android is fantastic because instead of letting the apps that change their permission update with one click you have to actually read what has changed and click an extra time to update it so it rapes your privacy further.

There have been very public issues with iOS apps too......it is not really necessary to call out Android, this law is pointed at ALL developers, not just Android.

Calling "California" the "U.S." is pretty misleading. That nanny state of outrageous big government and regulation emulates Europe more so than America. I love how the solution for this fail socialist disaster is always more government, regulations, and the theft of money as a result. Heaven forbid business be left alone without the government overreaching their non existent authority to dictate made up privacy "rights". It's funny because they implement ridiculous regulations like this yet it's perfectly fine for much larger companies that gain the same information and sell it wholesale.

Hurry up and fall off the continent already, California.

Another idiot who wouldn't know what socialism was if it was actually described to them.

Yes, because we really need the republicans to pull us back into the 11th century, right?

Except that sooner or later, as California goes, so does the United States. 90% of the time to our benefit.

California is NOT a nanny state, they just realize that most people are NOT able to take the time to read these agreements so they require that they have no legalese and be able to be understood by a 12 year old, which is pretty much the average reading comprehension for Americans.

i want to be angry with you and tell you how very wrong alot of what you said is, but i am too busy laughing at what parts you're absolutely right about.

when you have laws about ethical treatment shown to animals raised to be food that do more to protect animals than human beings that are unborn being chewed up and shredded like a tree shredder does while alive and then vacuumed out with a shop vac. that just makes me shake my head, to add even more morality and ethics to this, you can't even cook up and east said abortions because it's considered cannibalism.

" oh the irony and hypocrisy "
