Unable to connect a Denon amplifier to my Samsung UHD TV

I have just replaced my Sony LED TV with a Samsung UHD TV. I used the "audio out" sockets on my Sony to the input of my Denon amplifier. However this does not work on my Samsung. Why??

You may have to enable the audio out in the menus.

Your TV should offering ARC, as most Denon's do. Once enabled on the TV and the receiver (refer to the manuals), then you would connect the Denon HDMI out to the port specified in the Samsung manual for ARC. ARC stands for audio return channel, so the TV can send audio back to the denon.
