Solved! Undervolting i7 4190us

Hello,
i am not really proficient in computers. bought an hp envy 7 and its running really hot. try to play games and it freezes. i read up on undervolting but any ideas would be useful. i also read to put a cake cooling rack under it and that would help

Good chance it's the video chip and not the CPU that's overheating. Are you monitoring the temps?
What part of the laptop is hottest by touch?
Try using Speedfan http://download.cnet.com/SpeedFan/3000-2094_4-10067444.html

Is it freezing on all games? or just a few in particular?
