Unlock Acer Aspire One D257-1471

I was given an Acer Aspire One D257-1471 by some tutoring program. They told me to study on it for 9 hours and it was mine once I was finished. They never came back, don't even know who they are. I can't do anything on it and if I do try it won't save. Can anyone five me any information on how to unblock/unlock/restart my laptop, or a good place to take it to?
