Unmountable boot system

I am having trouble getting the computer to start it gives a message that says unmountable boot system

Start with system specs, brand/model, did anything happen before this started? Did you try anything already? Reseat the hard drive? Make sure drive is seen in the BIOS? Test the drive on another system to make sure it's good?
